Last night over 300 of you attended our second Vision Catalyst meeting at the Midtown Campus. Like the first night, we met at our potential new worship site, the former St. Vincent’s church on the corner of Shelby and Oak (Sojourn offered free childcare at The 930, just two blocks away from St. Vincent’s).
I won’t reveal everything here because the pastors want you to experience some cool things for the first time when you come. The East Campus will host our next Vision Catalyst meeting, next Wednesday March 24th. Then we’ll hold one more at the Midtown Campus (again, using St. Vincent’s) on Wednesday March 31st.

This is St. Vincent’s. All you have to do is look at what we Sojourners did together, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, when we bought the former Isaac Shelby Elementary School Building and transformed it into The 930. Then imagine what God could do through this community (and for the midtown neighborhoods) at St. Vincent’s.

Everyone who comes to the Vision Catalyst meetings will get a booklet designed by Sojourner Tyler Deeb, with assistance from Michael Winters. Take it home, browse through it, and you’ll have access to all kinds of information about what God is calling our elders to lead us into over the next ten years.

Come a couple minutes early, look around, catch up with old friends or introduce yourself to new ones …

Curious about building plans for St. Vincent’s? Come to the meeting and you’ll be able to see for yourself.

Pastor Daniel walks among the early arrivals.

Later, he shares God’s vision for this church.

You’ll have plenty of time to share thoughts with each other.

And learn how Christ is dealing with your brothers and sisters.

Meeting or not, this isn’t the board room at Microsoft. We’re God’s family, so we’ll praise him together.

And then our Executive Elders will outline the Vision Campaign and answer your questions.

If one of them does a particularly good job, another will pat him on the back.

This is your chance to hear from our leaders directly and ask anything that you don’t understand about the campaign. Don’t miss out!
And before you go, feel free to check out answers to our 32 most commonly asked questions about the What’s New Vision Campaign, at vision.sojournchurch.com.

1 Now Boaz went up to the village gate and sat there. Then along came the guardian whom Boaz had mentioned to Ruth! Boaz said, “Come here and sit down, ‘John Doe’!” So he came and sat down. 2 Boaz chose ten of the village leaders and said, “Sit down here!” So they sat down. 3 Then Boaz said to the guardian, “Naomi, who has returned from the region of Moab, is selling the portion of land that belongs to our relative Elimelech. 4 So I am legally informing you: Acquire it before those sitting here and before the leaders of my people!

Introduction

Probe’s Sue Bohlin explores four great questions for sharpening one’s critical thinking skills and asking probing questions of others to help them think about what they believe.
Dr. Jeff Myers of Bryan College and Summit Ministries shares our passion for helping others develop a biblical worldview. One of the tools he offers in developing critical thinking skills is how to use the right question at the right time.

Last night we held the first of four Vision Catalyst meetings for our What’s New Vision Campaign. We hope that those of you who didn’t make it will attend either the Wednesday the 17th or Wednesday the 31st meeting at the Midtown campus (childcare at The 930, meeting at the St. Vincent’s cathedral on Shelby and Oak, two blocks from The 930) or the Wednesday the 24th meeting at our East campus. Here is just a part of what’s in store (amidst some cool things that we’ll keep as a surprise until you come):

The chance to hear our Executive Elders, to ask them questions …

You’ll be able to check out some plans

and take a cello lesson. Just kidding. But our cellist is good.

Your friends will be there. You can talk to them if you arrive early …

Or you can catch a few Zzzz’s until it’s time to begin.
